Holland-based soloist Carlos Matos will release a new project—“Caboverdianismo LIVE,” a boosted DVD version of the musician’s rich Latin-jazz styled debut album, “Caboverdianismo,” (2006) on December 14th, 2009.
The DVD boasts collaborations from an internationally-assorted band that includes, Walter Matos (Drums), Francelino Silva (Bass), Rignald Kastaneer (Bass), Udo Demandt (Percussion), Nils Fischer (Percussion), António Herculano (Acoustic Guitar/Ukulele), Bart Platteau (Flute/EWI), and Nhêla Santos (Soprano sax).
Capeverdean singer Chando Graçiosa (Vocals) appears as a special guest with all production and arrangement credits going to Carlos Matos (Piano/Keyboards).
“Caboverdianismo LIVE” was recorded in the historic Schiecentrale in Rotterdam, Holland, and features new tracks as well as an interview with the pianist detailing his musical journey thus far.
